Dana 60 4.10 sure grip value

@moparbuff why the red x on my post? If I am mistaken, please tell me where I've made the mistake.

If you use it ditch the gov-lock, those things are horrible. Like to sling the weights that engage the locker.

.
That is not a dana power lock or a true track or a trac lock.
I know. If you had bothered reading the thread instead of knee jerking the disagree, you'd see where I said it was a Gov lock.

Well if you knew it why didn't you change your post. Instead of trying to look like some kind of know it all.

Because I didn't know it at first. Not until I saw the second closeup picture. I made a mistake. Sorry I made you mad. I've covered me bein a "know it all" so many times, it's pathetic. What I know is a microscopic speck on the head of a pin compared to most everybody on here. In my haste to try and help someone, I made a mistake.

Like I tell my wife... " DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!!...".. LOL...

She always rolls her eyes...

I have no idea what it is now. Well at least I wont be out much if I have to scrap it...

Did you look on the back where the photo I posted showed?

Its a GM 12 bolt 3500 van rear end with locking diff. Same one we have in our work van .
Oh well maybe I can make a few bucks off of it.

And I am wrong again ! It is a Dana 70 with 4.10s and a G80 locker.

Then it can be modded for an A body, just like a 60. I don't see an issue. I have a Dana 70 under my rat truck. All you'll need is to cut and narrow it and u bolts and shock plates.

Axle tubes are <3.5" .

If the spline count was the same as my 79 CB300 Class A I would consider using the locking diff .

A Dana 70 has a 9 3/4 ring gear and a 10 bolt back cover.
I believe a Dana 70HD has a 10 1/2 in ring gear and 12 bolt rear cover.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sounds about right . My head is spinning after so much research .
