Well I don't want to drop the pan but the first day this motor ran it had a small bottom end noise at idle. It has since disappeared but I am still dropping the pan to double check all is good. Who knows. Maybe I'll find something that magically solves this noise too. But to me this noise is more of a valvetrain noise. Strange how the motor before it had a noise with the same symptoms...
