My 727 (340) is toast. Any recommendations for mail order companies?

Local places are not an option as i dont have the time to remove drop off and pick up amd reinstall
Looking to drop and replace in 1 day.

I bought my 727 from Summit Racing. It came freight so you will have to find a place to have it delivered to.

Your essentially looking to buy a core and have it rebuilt. Options are having a trans shop source a core and they can rebuild it. Or you can source a core, take it to them for a rebuild. You could stay pretty much local, have them do the pulling and installing or do that yourself. Either way you can then sell off your old one. I’d be looking here and elsewhere for a rebuilt one ideally or a good core. Then take it in locally to be rebuilt. You don’t want to deal with long distance vendors and shipping etc. Them honoring the warranty is pretty much worthless (the terms are very specific in most cases and very restricted) and the logistics will be a nightmare if you have issues with any possible claim. I’d stay local regardless

Andrew’s racing transmissions, they are in the Denver Colorado area

he is on facebook.

Hey buddy. Long time no speak.

What happened to the transmission?
This would be a key thing to know before I recommend anything. Part of the issue is, did it pollute the converter with metal shavings? Another thing is the engine hopped up? How big of a cam? What kind of power are you making?

Below…..

This is the route I took on my wife’s and my own 904. I told him what I was doing and he said OK. He’s not that far away. Just south of the Deer Park train station. P.S., FB was a local legend when I was a teenager. He has been doing this a long time and is still doing this.

When Pro Torque was in Medford, I took the 5 minute drive and spoke with Joe. I told him everything about the cars and the intended usage. He set me up on both converters right quick. Excellent work and results.

I'm with the Keep it Local crowd. Have Ya seen shipping lately? And if 1, just 1 thing ain't right, And I've had Professional Transmission shops, screw up. and that cost me the time to RnR... but I was able to drive it up there and shove it, till it was fixed!

Plenty of big block and small block cores in my area... Especially the long shaft version... I would recommend buying a $200 core and a $120 rebuild kit and rebuilding it, but I can tell the op wants plug and Play...

The OP needs to re-think his task and rebuild the actual transmission that is in the car now.

Then you know what you got. Some of the used cores are basket cases in rely tuff shape.

Like our government lying to everyone to hide the truth, those selling you the "cores" will say most anything to get them sold and turn them into money.

Have to remember the good stock is pretty much used up. Reminds you of craigslist rule: Don't believe a word until the person selling has proven trustworthy.

Edit:
Besides putting in a transmission out of a different car, makes your car no longer a numbers matching car.

Personally, I ain't trying to sell any cores, I have 3 extra transmissions, that I pulled, myself, outta running vehicles. I kick my self in the ***, daily, for letting go, getting rid of, ect, all the Mopar Parts I had. At one point, I sold Jerry, from J@J, 5 70 Challenger grills, so I didn't have to take em home. I had 10 doors, and 4 decklids. The amount of mid 70s D Series stuff I had was sick. It sucks. That's not to mention all kinda other stuff, I'm sure most of the Members here can relate.
