resealing my trans... and swapping to a higher stall 2800 converter //.watched/read several sources on "how too" the replacement bushing seems "a little sloppy compared to the old one" do they make "tighter" burnishable bushings/babbit/bronze or dimpled???

The old bushing had copper showing in one spot...Looks like some one nicked it with the old converter/the old one is not a factory 340 no part#s on it anywhere..

when pressing the new bushing into the pump housing does it change the ID ??

both converter hubs measured the same ...

From what I have read the bushing acts like a controlled leak like a rod/crank bearing so a to large ID bushing will put to much trans fluid against the seal ...Right ?
