I may have to pull the throttle bracket (2 bolts) out of the intake if I need a different bracket depending on what combo of kickdown linkage I can come up with. If so do I not have to change the intake gasket(s) but if so I will just have to search harder for the right linkage to go with the current throttle bracket as I dont really want to replace em if there's another way around this plus the guys may tell me that I can wire the kickdown rearward & not even have to mess with it. thank you for your time. RR

I've pulled em outta Aftermarket Intakes, several times. To custom fab brackets, and then swap to lokar crap. DONT run Her till yer done. Yes, if you have a cable kickdown, it can have it the other direction. But, I have always done pull from rear, have seen one ran to pull from front. So I ain't sure that's correct..hopefully Other People will jump in

If I understand you correctly - if you remove the two bolts for the throttle cable bracket in the rear and rebolt down the new bracket you do not need to change the gasket. If your worried, a dab of sealer on threads but I’ve never had any issues - just remove cold so coolant does not seap into the intake but even then that’s a stretch.

No

You do not need a kickdown in your Dirt Track car. wire it back about 2/3 of the way and you will be fine.

We’re gonna need more info to be able to help u. Foreword or reverse pattern valve body. Shift kit or not. If there is spring tension on the kd when u push it to the rear, then u need something to keep the tranny alive. No u don’t need to change the intake gasket. Kim

forward pattern. I dont remember if there's a shift kit in this particular trans or not (my record keeping is terrible!). no spring tension at the beginning of the levers' stroke but then there is tension to about the end of its travel.
