Hi guys, as the post states, I need a centerlink for a early a v8. If you have one with the tierods attached in decent usable shape, that's a bonus! :p

In dire need to get this car done within 3 months, please let me know if you got this!

Also, I need the mounts off an early a body v8. I have found these repop for 80$ but not positive they're what I need.

My dad has a 66' with a 273 I plan to take a gander at.

Thanks for the help!

A lot of times, you can get by without the center link. I retained the slant 6 center link in my 65 Valiant years ago. It was close, but it never touched.

I've had the motor sitting in the car, looks right at home and cant wait for it to be proper! I need mounts to make it fit correctly. I had it sitting on some huge mid 70s truck mounts i think? it was bolted in though just really tall.. :)

@RustyRatRod -- Can you tell me, the k-member is the same on the early v8 as the /6 correct?

From the reading I've done, I've found a lot of mixed information. My plan is to try and source this bar and use 65 mounts/brackets and keep a /6 k-member (as I read they're the same and the difference is in the mounts/brackets and drag link in these early years).

Sounds like I need to source the mounts and test fit the motor with the mounts and /6 bar then. Still haven't got to take a look at my pops car.

We also have a factory oil pan that seems to have more "dents" in the pan to help steering links clear. However, the rear main area is much larger than the 318 I have.. not sure why but it wont work. I wonder if this pan is key to using the /6 bar though and sadly I cannot use that pan.

Yes with the early A, the k frame is the same regardless of engine.

Mounts and center link one isolater is newer and one is an original both still look useable $300 plus ride money

This picture shows ‘63 -‘66 center link compared to a ‘67- ‘72 center link for verification if you buy you get the shorter one.
