A “Reverse Offset” 8-71blower will have the added 1” blower case to the front of the engine, aiding in distributor clearance…..

However, @Coyote Jack modified his ModMan blower top by moving it forward to provide distributor clearance.

I thought He removed the excess flange material protruding from the back of the manifold and reworked some of the blower rear bearing plate fins to clear the distributor . I messaged him awhile back about it . No offset distributor needed .
I will use a 2" blower spacer or taller to clear the distributor for my 8-71. I have a call into a Friend who is a Indy dealer and he will talk to the one person who will know the answer without any guessing . So, in the meantime I will be waiting for a phone call .. If the manifold has enough material to change the port I will get it and modify as necessary . I have a nice Tig welder ,and I don't mind doing some fabricating and mods.
