360 on the dyno

And honestly, who gives a flying f**k what someone wants to spend on a carburetor. Since it's their money and their engine if it works well who cares.

Nothing like a real world comparison between 2 competing carb brands that has rabid fans either side that shows very little difference in performance especially considering the price, features and raw cfm available to the engine.

What's even more interesting is the real difference in HP and TQ is only really evident between 4K to 5K in the RPM range. Every where else its single digits.

Cognitive dissonance....

Never mind. Again.

All you fartknockers go start your own carburetor arguin thread. Caint you all just tell the guy he has a nice engine and move the HELL on? Go measure each others' dicks somewhere else.

I was going to explain that but it’s just not worth it.

They pretty much do this on every thread that I've seen on here. Opinions are okay for the most part but when they start arguing back and forth is what I think gets old. I thanked the guy for posting his build and the results that he got. I think that when that when someone asks a question about something that guy's should answer with personal experiences by doing this most of these posts wouldn't be 4,5,6 pages long. I'm grateful for the help I have received here so don't get me wrong.

Of course there was the test Edelbrock did of comparing a 600 Holley & a 625 AFB on a 350 Chev. A real test, apples to apples. AFB made 17 ft/lbs more tq, 17 hp more & used less fuel doing it....

Can't you all just tell the guy he has a nice engine and move the HELL on?

They already have......Guess we can't discuss any of the particulars without people getting upset or requiring your permission first right boss.

It's not about my permission, it's about being considerate to the original poster. If you or anyone else aren't wanting to do that, then start your own thread and massacre each other. It's not in good taste to clutter up someone else's thread with unrelated crap. ....and it is unrelated.

What's up with you a**holes screwing up the thread with your bs?. The op started a thread about how much power his engine made on the dyno, he didn't ask a bunch of self proclaimed geniuses which carb would be better.

To the original poster nice numbers and I love to see engines like this on the dyno since it's common stuff and most people don't bother with it. And do us all a favor, if these guys keep it up have a mod delete their posts so we can enjoy a decent thread without good info being wasted because a few people cannot control themselves.

Exactly. It's clear he KNOWS which would make the most power, yet he didn't ask that. lol

Its clearly related to the power curve difference between the 2 runs between the 2 carbs used. Do I need to post the breakdown of TQ and HP difference between each run again?

No it's not related, since he didn't ASK for anyone's opinion. Clearly I'm not gettin through. Congratulations, you made the list.

Thank God for that. Some one tell that Jackass to keep me on the list.

Good solid engine. In a decent chassis that would run mid-high 12's all day long in the mid 100's mph. Had a similar 360 build with a XE268h, LD and 750DP and it ran 107.5 IIRC in crappy air in Las Vegas. 350hp/400tq

Go have fun with it!

This customer will drive it to car shows. But I'll definitely have a little fun with it once it's in the car and she brings it back for some final tuning.

nice job baby blue, that combo sounds like a winner ... i will be doing a 340 soon and thats the exact approach i will be taking.. simple proven well thought out recipe that works. i will be asking plenty of questions , im useing RRR guide to hot rod bliss as a guide... thanks again for taking the time to post your results, much appreciated... Rich

Thanks again for posting up your 360 build and dyno test results for us all to see.

I can see doing a build just like this for the stock compression 360s.

Nice Results
