None of the 3 electrical items in your photos, on the left fender apron, were factory. Don't get me wrong--if you are going to use factory breakerless ignition, and the later alternator / regulator (70/ later) then you will need to keep them. But there were no factory holes. The regulator and 2 terminal coil ballast originally went on the firewall.
