Yeah but the great thing about the overlays they way they used to be is they completely covered the original surface. As in, if you had an extra hole, or some damage, you just lay the overlay directly over it and it would never show to the front. If they’re thin enough to water slide the surface underneath would need to be way smoother.

Eh. Again, these are pretty darn good for the cash. And they will cover small imperfections, if you have a giant hole in the dash, well... maybe it's time for a dash? Just for clarification, I'm in a 74 Duster. Different gauge set up than Rallye. Although I'd love to put one in!
