DMT Overlays

Eh. Again, these are pretty darn good for the cash. And they will cover small imperfections, if you have a giant hole in the dash, well... maybe it's time for a dash? Just for clarification, I'm in a 74 Duster. Different gauge set up than Rallye. Although I'd love to put one in!

Ok, in looking into it further it looks like the upper dash overlays for the rally dash have an additional backing material, they're mounted on .020" aluminum. Like on mine, that's where the metal trim highlight comes from. You can see it from DMT's eBay ad picture still

The lower and the console are a little thinner. Didn't seem like a water slide type thing to me, they're too thick to roll and came flat packed. But maybe you can do it, I glued mine down. It looks like the overlays for the non-rallye dashes aren't the "backed" version like the upper dash overlay.

And for the record, I'm also in a '74 Duster. I converted the dash panel and modified a rallye dash bezel using one that had been cut to make something that would work. The overlays went a long way to making that possible. I'll put some of the pictures here, but you can see my whole conversion starting on the first page of my build thread and going through page 3.
