Not impossible but I do remember subsequent attempts were made at the front of the fender. The fender is just below waist high for a teenage boy to smooch his girl sitting on it.
Rear quarter panel isn't good. Tried that and found that the top of the quarter is just above waist high. forcing a tippietoe situation that led t calf cramps.
