Ok now I’m excited. I didn’t expect that.

First pass in 18 months was a dozy. New engine and transmission I built, a converter just back from being freshened, and a brandy new APD alcohol carb that all I did was go down 4 jet sizes. I’m shocked at the very first pass.

Which heads are on that one?

Been over the scales yet?

It was 2880 with the R3 and this is a stock block. But the driver gained 25 pounds. This is my old set of 2.08 open chamber Edelbrock heads that I did years ago and the nicest Victor340 that I’ve done to date.

Well somethin sure is workin! Keep it up buddy!

Man that's cooking the gas for sure! Keep it up you may figure this s*** out yet LOL

The only thing I messed up on was I forgot to hit the damn record button for my RacePak. If it was a bad pass I would have been pissed off.

Nice to see you back out! Good job.
Now, get on that tree, Top ET electronics class will eat you alive getting chased with a 31 bulb.
I bet you will tighten it up quickly

Nice car I saw your last thread "close to going racing", What was the engine temp at the end of the run?

Just curious. We are going to methanol and considering a smaller rad. But one piece front with no grille opening. We always had an open front.

Also did you use Tungsten Disulfide with your build?

Over the weekend we had an engine make 860 to the tire. It was built using tungsten disulfide and the piston and head were coated with Cerakote. 67 lbs of boost to get the AFR's to 12.6. 4 cyl all wheel drive. Could not get enough heat in the cylinder to fire.

Your car looks nice. Love the SB. There is only one thing that I saw that you should change . That hill leading to the trailer door. That would scare me.

Lol my whole 2 acres is a hillside and I fell in love with the wrong house back in 1985. I had an open trailer back then so it wasn’t a big deal. Sorry but I can’t tall you the temps as I forgot to hit the RacePak record button and didn’t look. I had it 175 leaving the lanes to do my burnout so I’ll guess around 180 at the end of my pass and 170 by time I got to my pit spot.

Wow I just imagine how fast you would be if you weren't using those good for nothing open chamber Edelbrock heads. You know those are barely high performance and not race heads right..:thumbsup:

heck I paid good money for them. They were damaged and I paid around 400.00 for them. They looked like crap and more carbon than a steel mill smoke stack.

Those who want to race go fast with what they can afford. I wish there were more mopar race cars out of my son's shop for this season.

Nice John. I saw you come past after the first TT. I was wondering what the new setup was going to run. Good to have you back racing.

Great first pass!
....but that dragster in the other lane is stout. 001 light, too.

Ya he and his father are both good friends. Matt participates in a winter practice tree group so they hit the tree all winter long

I`m not familiar with 1/8mi times, what would that equate to at 1/4mi ?
