Car has been on the road since late 2014. The original Lenses installed! Always tried to tell myself that I needed some originality!

Much show success and drive enjoyment over that time, but it is time to step up some more!

I try to keep the car as nice as can be done, but the taillight lenses have always made me a bit unhappy.

Ordered a set from DMT today. I know that James F. does not produce them but he has been a great resource and supplier for me and a good sponsor for the site! Hence I felt good giving him some more of my cash!

As soon as something is completed, the deterioration process begins.

Sad, but true.

Even if it's "pickled" and not used.

Nice car, BTW.

Hahhhh, thanks

I opted for the reverse blackout look.

The best thing to do, As soon as you think it's done is sell it and start over. At least you won't be spending double on one car . Or Have 2 cars to use your old parts that are not good enough for the #1 to use on the number #2.

I built a whole car #2 with parts that were second to the parts for the car I plan on keeping. Then I sold it. But now I wish I would have kept it until I finished #1.

I don't get that.

I don't buy old cars because I want to fix or restore one for someone else.

I do it because I like and/or want to own and drive an old car.

YY1, For me it was finding one, doing the work, enjoying it for awhile.
Then the need to look for another project takes over.
I understand what you are saying. My wife said that I enjoy the work and the need to have a project.
Now I'm down to 1 car.I tell myself no more.Be happy with what you have. But here I am still looking everyday.
Moparitis is a afflickshun !!:poke:

I enjoy building them! But I need something cool to drive 2. It's the rule of 2 for me. 1 to work on and 1 to drive! Once I am done the truck I am working on, it will become my son's so I will need another project to keep me broke and occupied! Race car this time!

Current "never ending project" (and I get that)- 1973 Satellite- 90% "complete" weekend driver.

Back burner project #1- 1967 Belvedere II wagon- great body, needs floors, 95% of parts needed have been acquired.

Back burner project #2- 1966 Coronet, factory 383 car- great body needs torn down, cleaned up and put back.

Back burner project #3 (If I want to tackle it)- 1980 D 100 step side with 440 and 833 OD- nice bed, runs and drives, cab is VERY rusty.

Back burner project #4 (if I decide not to part it out) 1972 Charger SE 400-4 car 1 of 503 with sure grip axle- needs almost all body panels but solid uni-body.

Currently looking (but not super hard) for a factory 4 speed car (prefer a rare 4 speed and AC car), an "HP" A body, any 65 or 68 FB Barracuda, maybe a 66/67 Charger, maybe a convertible.
