That’s the great thing about wheel styles. Not everyone likes the same thing. This means we can pick and choose what matches our own preferences and not all end up with the same car.
A few years back, I never would have considered going with a wheel that was larger than what would have been available at the time a car was built. After seeing how guys like @72bluNblu and others have made this work so well, my mind was opened up.
Add in the extreme lack of quality performance tire options for 15 wheels (and the same applies to 16/17 wheels now too) and learning to like the looks of properly selected 18s is about the best possible adaptation I can make as car person.
