Edelbrock 1406 accelerator pump

the cup height determines the amount of shot into the carb, (the depth of the shot is the variable, the height I think is fixed to allow fuel slot to fill the pump cavity) the and this is determined by where you hook the linkage to on the arm. the 3 holes have 3 different pump volumes.
Your explanation is how I thought it should be. I'm starting out with the cup at a much lower height, therefore I'm getting less volume from a shot. I think I'll try putting the old plunger back in with the new cup and actually measure the length this time while I have it apart. I'd like to at least have an extra after seeing that the stem is plastic on the old one.
