Got an AFB 750 now, works okay but has a loose throttle shaft that makes setting the idle mixture wacky. Also have an AVS 500 that is awesome but a bit too small.

750 Was a factory rebuilt from Summit that slipped past quality control and I didn't notice until much later.
Anyway, the AVS2 800 looks killer but is sold out everywhere until July.

So I saw this on Ebay:
For Edelbrock Carburetor 1405 Performer 600 cfm 4 Barrel Vacuum Secondary Satin | eBay
100% non-Eddy AFB 600, dual fuel inlets. Kinda tempted to buy it. The dual fuel inlets I like, the phillips screws and everything silver color not so much.

I’d buy a eddy reman from jegs or summit before I would spend that kind of cabbage on an unknown used carb. Reman carbs are new carbs that were returned back to edelbrock because they didn’t work. They are repaired and WET FLOWED before they are resold. Your buying a new, proven carb at a discount. Then you can get the size you want and if you can get an AVS, big score.

I passed on a new AVS 800 recently, wished I hadn't. That 600 is an all-new but completely unknown manufacturer. Maybe I'll offer $200 and see if they bite

I put the Edelbrock 800 AVS2 on my 472 Hemi when I switch from the crossram to the single 4 bbl intake.
It was a good swap, Idle, off idle transition, cruise and full throttle works flawless.
