Hello!

I have a 1969 Custom 4 Door Dodge Dart with a dash mounted ignition. I pulled the old one out (the one on the right) and was told it was an old model which explains why it turned 360 degrees when the key was inside due to it being a smaller ignition switch. Anyways… I ordered a 1969 Dodge Dart ignition switch (the one on the left) from a guy on this forum, and it doesn’t seem to fit just a new ignition lock cylinder. (Bottom right corner) Is there a part of the assembly that I am missing. I appreciate it.

thank you.

Look like you got the wrong switch.

Here is what a 1969 Dodge Dart switch looks like on e-bay. The same as your switch on the right.

The ignition switch on the right is incorrect for a '69. It's diameter is too small for the dash opening hole. '69 uses a one year only big diameter switch (the one on the left) and respective lock cylinder and bezel. Most models also use a plastic trim surround too. That part isn't necessary to mount the switch however.

jsjs1212 has that plastic piece for sale right now in the interior parts for sale section.

Do you have a ignition lock cylinder for 69'?
