Stop in for a cup of coffee

Joined the local car club. Meeting tonight. Got Fargo out now.

I was under the impression that it should only amount to the $.10 difference in cost on the production of the summer gas. I'm sure there will be more coming with the increased demand for summer travel.
87 went from 3.87 to 4.19 at the shell down the road. Diesel stayed unchanged for now.

I payed $5.39 for diesel Thursday it was 5.89 wend I came back on Sunday.

I didn't look at the diesel prices. $5.79 for 87 is the cheapest in town for this 5 minutes. 30 miles south and right next to the same freeway we have here, it's $.20 cheaper, difference in freight costs my backside . $.20x7000= $1400 difference in freight, I don theen so

Not really. Pretty much everything was back open in most states by then

And for what it’s worth, I just looked it up just now, average price of gas here from 2015-2020- 2.359 for 87. 2.679 for diesel

also for what it’s worth, 2007-2014, the average price was 3.539.

draw your own conclusions.

So anyway, I took stock in my paint supplies.
I have 1 gallon DTM primer, 1 gallon high build, 1/2 gallon “guide coat”, 1 gallon color, 1 gallon high gloss clear, plus all the hardeners, reducers, filters, cups, mixers, etc. think that’ll be enough for the dart?

Way back!

Yep. My only conclusion that I’m gonna say is this, if you look back over the last 100 years, times where gas prices have gone up at stupid high percentages over short times, it’s always book ending a major recession .
I was going to comment about looking at what was happening with the Nation when the prices are high or extremely low. Enough politics for me. LOL

Eh it’s more economics than politics. Sure, It can be argued that the current situation is caused by one side but the reality is, all sides have caused this type of problem at one point or another over the last 100 years.
At this point, I don’t care about the politics, I’m just watching the economic impact to know when the time to move investments around is so I don’t get burned like I did in 08.

And yeah, if anyone is interested, I have a TON of non party, non political sourced data on economic trends I can share. It’s kind of interesting too, I used it to tie into my thesis on demographics having a bigger impact on the economy and ultimately the rise and fall of nations more so than any other factor. My CEO requested a copy of that thesis and actually loved it. He wants to publish it. Apparently despite being written in 2019, a lot of my predictions have come very true, at least in the business world. Shocking I know
