I knew today was gonna be nice. Wx has been up and down, mostly down, colder than normal. It got up, ?? 65F or so. I had a doctor's appointment, but it didn't take as long as I thought, so I rushed home, loaded up the "new" boat and a box lunch, and went for a ride

This is what the rest of the miserable week looks like...........

LOLOL!! At my age it would have to be an extraordinary happenchance!!!

On a "worse" note I just got done playing with the camera, a little M50 Canon, and I haven't had the lens off that thing very many times, and not at all in the last couple mounts. But see, "somehow" the thing has junk on the sensor!!

Looks like it was a beautiful day! 65 and on the water is chili though.

Yeh, and you bet your *** that water is COLD!! There's still snow on the "far hills" and it is feedin streams runnin down the hills!!

Wasn’t that you right behind the fat chick?

"Polar plunge", "Polar Bear Plunge"
Every time I go to Huntington Beach, the water feels like this. We rarely get water temps above about 66 here and when its 85 on the sand and you jump into mid 60's water, it aint refreshing, its uncomfortable! Today its 60F, your water temp may vary but it also not snow run off. So what happens when you get it out a mile or so and the motor locks up or ignition dies?

Nice looking "new" boat!
I launch at a small "unimproved" park next door to a small, long time marina. Met the owner as I was launching and again coming back, who's maybe 10-12 years younger than me. He saw my boat and says "that's a nice lookin old timer!"

I had to explain to him it's younger (the boat) than I am by 9 years. (It's a '59)

It started to sprinkle today about 11AM on and off and by 3:30 it was RAINING. Going to be cold and rainy rest of the week

When I'm on the big lakes I carry an electric trolling motor and a couple oars.
That has saved me many times from being stranded out in the middle after a breakdown.
My old boat was a point eater until I got Pertronic.

I actually forgot to toss in the electric, but I do have a little has "fake Merc" (made by who, too--haut-soo?) 3.3 single. AND A PADDLE.

This boat, unlike the earlier one, actually has oarlocks, but the thing is wide, you'd need 10' oars to be able to do anything
