Does anyone know where I can get the tool for removing the retainer nut for the wiper switch on a 1964 Valiant? I want to get at the pushbutton mechanism and I was able to remove the headlight switch retainer with a screwdriver and small hammer but the wiper nut won't budge. It is just getting chewed up. I could try and make a tool but it would be awful finicky with all those tiny slots. I would much rather buy a ready made tool.

if you got a angle grinder, you could notch a 5/8 12 point socket or so to the necessary teeth? Then use it as a "security tool" socket? them maybe notch the side out like a O2 sensor socket to fit over the knob if the little pin wont release the knob internally.

Maybe a bit of a hack, but I've ground the tips of a small set of needle nosed pliers and used them. Make sure you get them seated so they don't slip. I like the socket mentioned above.

Depending on the dash you could have wiper, hazard, headlight bezels. Get the tool, it comes in handy. There is also a different sized one for antenna.

Harbor Freight has a kit that pretty reasonable in price. It might have the one you need.
