Can someone tell me about the cam specs below, I need a cam to get a car going, and would love to get an Oregon cam but don’t have the $750 Aussie dollars delivered at the moment. In the future yes but for now, will the below do for a 2bbl, bbd carter and 2 1/4 inch exhaust and 9.5 comp

No way does a cam + reasonably prompt postage total up to anywhere near A$750. When I put in reasonable dimensions and weight for shipping a \6 camshaft from OR to Australia, USPS.com quotes me USD $158.40 for Priority Mail Express International, 3 to 5 days. That's A$223.38. Are you sure you didn't ask Oregon Cam for a quote on, like, seven Slant-6 camshafts?

(At a glance, the cam you describe looks bigger than I would choose for a street-driven car with good manners)

New cam and lifters was around 300usd and shipping another 175usd around 650 Aussie, but thanks for the reply

I'd run it no problem.

After lashing, the advertised will be smaller.
But I don't get why the exhaust is so much smaller than the intake, on the advertised! After lashing that looks darn goofy.

Slantsixdan,
My last custom grind from Comp left little change out of $AU1000.
There are things you fail to realise with shipping outside of the US.
- some air services by USPS have been suspended/delayed.
- many companies will NOT send USPS because it is a hassle for them. They have to get a quote [ trip to the post office? ], then phone email back/forth to get confirmation from the customer.
- like many companies, Comp only ships Fedex [ or UPS, DHL etc ], the above cam costing over $US300. And there is no choice of shippers.

I haven't had a cam ground by Clive, but his workmanship is excellent. He has been re-facing FT lifters for me for years.

So Dan, you think 198 and 202 @ .050 is too big?

I asked Ken @ Oregon for the 2106r, isn’t this cam between a rv10 and 20, I just saw the cam I mentioned local and saw the lift smaller so thought it would do as an interim until I could get what was recommended

I am, also. My 64 Valiant 170 cid, has the smallest MP cam, and at 9.5 to 1, I had a big issue staying out of detonation on anything other them 93 octane. It really needs more cam or less compression.
More cam, baby! That's always the way! lol

i’m running that 2106 cam with about 8.8:1 it works great. More Lyft won’t do you any good until you do a lot of work on the head over on the slant six site there’s some airflow numbers stock and with oversize valves you’ll find the 2106 lift is all you need even for oversized valves
