The interior of my 69 Barracuda is R6 Scorched Red. I have a few pieces that need paint, I found some online 12oz can about $36. I don't mean to be a cheap *** but has anyone found a close match that could bought at the hardware store? I don't need that much so paying $6 instead of $36 would be nice. If there isn't such a thing I'll just go without beer for a week (lets hope it doesn't come to that).

Well without knowing what the few pieces are and where they are in relation to other painted parts it is hard to answer this but in general, I would say that the chance of getting a close match with a rattle can to any color is tough. The other "issue" is that automotive paint typically has a hardener which makes it much tougher with chemicals, etc.. There is a company that I have purchased from called "Automotive Touchup" (the logo has what looks like a 30's hood ordament). They may be the company you found or may not be but what is awesome about their paint is that it is a 2 part (2K) paint. The can has a plunger you smack to break open the hardener in it. You then have a limited pot life so make sure you are ready for to spray everything cause pot life is typically 2 hours or less but just follow the instructions. Consider this: back in 1998 I purchased 1 quart of PPG Viper Red for around $600 and that did not include hardener or the reducer. The best advice I can give is raid the kids piggy bank for the beer and use a matching paint. Good luck

Oh and I also have purchased interior paint from classic industries for plastic parts. It is a special paint that melts into vinyl and sticks to plastic real well.

My local NAPA can mix and put into a rattle can any color you want. Don’t remember the price but thinking about $18. You might try that.

Or find a way to spray with a gun and buy your paint at a pro auto pant store. HF gun and some kind of compressor for such small jobs.
