Hard to have a nice yard, when neighbors have a Dandelion Nursery!

Call the police if they're playing loud music at all hours.

Won't work. Shitty people know laws better than most. I gave up. Pretty bad deal considering the time and money I spend throughout the year helping people and trying to do the right thing....

I can’t afford to put chemicals on our lawn, too large. Live in the country but I do keep it looking O-K. As for the neighbors down the hill it’s a total mess. Looks like a scrap yard and when they finally cut the so called grass he hauls it to the farm down the road for the cows

The whole country is becoming lazy and non-caring.
How you represent yourself and your property tells a lot about you.
Helping a neighbor in need is not out of the question.
Lend a brother a hand.
I remember when we used to do that. We had a few elderly neighbors growing up in our neighborhood when I was a kid and that's exactly what a few of us kids would do. Go mow and straighten up their yards. It was fun to do and even more fun to see how happy it made them.

Unfortunately I now have a renter beside me and they don't care. And they play boom-boom to a point where it rattles pictures in my house.... Nobody cares and they are able to do whatever they want and legally get away with it. So I said screw my house and I am letting it go to waste now. If you can't beat-em, join em. I am jealous of those who have great neighbors who take pride in their homes.....

i live on a street of older owner occupied houses that all take pride in there properties about fifteen years ago the house across the street sold and the new slum lord owner turned it into a rental, it's been nothing but drug's, fights, and frequent cop visit's the place is now a eyesore to the neighbor hood, siding falling off, garbage blows over here, animals scatter there garbage that they won't take to curb on pickup day, and off course they never mow yard i have seen the city mow the yard and shovel snow off sidewalk, most not all rental property will ruin a neighbor hood

Even in todays high prices, 2-4-Dweed killer is cheap and effective. You need to spray before seeding out otherwise come back early next year. Buy a hand pump up 2 gal sprayer, mix right ratio and maybe buy it at farm supply store or the burbanite Tractor Supply store.
IF you can't clean the yard of dandelions and all broadleafs, something is bad wrong with you.

I spend about 4 hours last nite helping the lady across the street "clean up" in order to be able to replace a window unit AC
during that 4 hours i was able to clear all three steps in the halway of her home, and enough floorspace inside the kitchen so the door could open up far enough so i could fit through

part of that time i was literally shoveling trash from the floor with a pitch fork
i would post pictures, but it is not for the faint of heart

there's a show on tv called Hoarder's that show that very thing it can be quite gruesome, they claim over 3 million people are afflicted with the decease

that is exactly what it looked like

one thing that stands out was a can of pink salmon, bulging and rusted to the point of the only way i could identify it was by the faded plastic wrapper still on it

she would not let me throw it out

i cant tell you how often i had that same conversation with her
at some point i decided to stop asking permission and literally started shoveling trash (and trash it was) of off the floor and into a trashcan
then i had one of the teens from church chuck that into a dumster before she could look at it

i cant tell you how many pounds of trash i got out of there, and i dont think i even scratched the surface

at some point i looked down and a newspaper caught my eye, December 17 2013
and that wasnt anywhere near the bottom

it wouldnt surprise me one bit if the floor of that house gave in and it collapsed on itself

i intend to go back in tomorrow to fix the job, because A, i want her to have a working AC, and B, if i dont do it soon i know the path will fill up again

Alot of hoarders I know and there is a list can have something in common. They were dirt poor growing up or they were raised to not throw anything out. I would agree that it is a mental disease. I personally feel as though I was headed down that path at one point in life however now I can throw something away faster than the average person....

Not this lady, her last name is on the local marina

When you chose to keep the trees instead of clear cutting. The hawks and owls leave you gifts and grass is not an option, the 8000 sf of sod we laid was eventually over come by oak leaves and the chickens don't help much either.
