Yeah John, your getting caught up little by little. It's like showing up at a family reunion. We've lost a few good members. All's we can do is take it Day by Day. Steve is still around. I'm sure he'll chime in. @4spdragtop.
 
Who'd have thought that they'd feature a cartoon strip with a '67 Barracuda fastback! Hopefully this taste of what was in the magazine will inspire some of you out there to grab a copy off your local newsstand. I found mine at Wally-World.

I've seen a few recent posts from him so I was hopeful he was still hanging around. - Just a little concerned I wasn't able to track him down.

Ever since half my brain went AWOL (after that last heart attack) it's been hit n miss on who and what I remember. I'm slowly trying to retrace my steps to reconnect with all the guys I've harassed in the past. If I don't reach out to some of you it's probably because:
1)I'm afraid you'll beat me up.
2)I'm afraid you'll report me to law enforcement.
3)I can't find you.
4)I haven't quite gotten around to it yet.
5)I hate you!
6)Maybe I owe you money.
7)That DNA test came back and says I AM THE FATHER
8)I forgot.
9)I forgot that I forgot.

I'm curious about the digital pinball machines, how exactly do they work?

Hey there 4spdragtop. - Good to hear from you. I admit to being ambitious but you've mistaken me for someone else on that whole 'skilled' description. If I were in a police lineup (again) and you were to say the suspect was skilled, they'd have to turn me loose.

As far as those pinball machines go, the 1st 2 we bought were made by a company called 1UP. They are 3/4 of the size of a conventional pinball machine. That may sound undersized but it is still large enough to give you decent hand spacing between the flipper buttons. The smaller size makes them easier to find room for in homes yet large enough to re-create the feeling of playing full sized machines.

1UP makes a number of different machines that are constructed much like the old machines. The play table is actually a computer monitor and the flippers are controlled by the side buttons just like a regular machine. Each 1UP pinball machine has 10 pinball tables built into it. You're able to choose which one you'd like to play by scrolling through them via buttons on the front of the machine. The ball launch plunger actually works like a real one using electronic technology. One other big advantage they have is that they weigh just a fraction as much so they're easier to move. - And of course, owning each machine is like owning 10 machines.

It may not be exactly the same as a 'real' machine but it's darn close. We own 6 machines. 3 real and 3 digital. Now that we own the digital ones we haven't played the original ones anymore.

The 3rd digital machine we own is another 1UP 3/4 scale machine but it's been modded to have over 100 different tables on it. It also has additional monitors added to simulate the back glasses of each table. There must be over 1000 tables that are available for installation.

Hmmm... - another day of crappy weather and little accomplishment.

I went to Columbus, NE for some shopping. Teresa seems to think my attire gives Walmart shoppers a bad name. As I look around at the array of fleece Hello Kitty pajama bottoms, nose rings, and flip flops I realize I need to step up my game.

Maybe I'll have to get me some of those pre-ripped, pre-faded clothes that they sell instead of the ones I've worn out on my own.

Later today I'm supposed to go look at some puppies for sale. They look vicious.

- Still waiting to hear back from a number of FABO members that I'd given a shout out to. Not much luck so far. I'm beginning to suspect people are using some form of screening software to keep nasty a**holes away. I thought about trying those types of programs but was afraid they'd lock me out of my own posts.

**UPDATE**
Another mouth to feed at our house. - So far the new pooch hasn't bonded with me but she seems to like Teresa. - Still no name, - we'll spend a few days trying to pick one. I haven't owned a dog since I lived on the farm and back then they lived outside. With any luck 'poochie' will learn how to potty train herself, fetch me tools, and rub my feet. Maybe I'm being over optimistic.

OMG, there's at least 3 of them! That's the beginning of a herd! Just think of all the work you could accomplish with the help of a whole pack. (if only they had opposable thumbs)

Our new addition has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. They were in a makeshift pen in the seller's basement. - Sorta damp, - pretty smelly, concrete/dirt floor. All 7 pooches seemed hyperactive and happy. They're a German Shepherd/Bohemian Shepherd mix. No paperwork to show lineage. We chose a female hoping it'd be less likely to mark territory. None of them were shy. We both (Teresa & I) agreed on the one we picked.

Dogs are friends for life.
My wife trained our now 13 year old lab, he as never done his business in the house, and requires no leash.
He is a big baby, still at his age will do alot of tricks for treats.
He would never roll over, but will sit, speak, high 5, high 10, and not leave the yard.
I dread the day he passes on, my wife said she would not have the will power to train another dog.

So far, so good. No 'accidents' in the house during the 1st 24 hours. She's a bit shy since coming to our house and tends to seek out confined spaces when inside. - When we take her out she wants to stay out. She's definitely becoming more affectionate but she won't come when we try to get her to. We need to pick a name already!

I've got 2 boys. Spencer has a German Shepherd and Greg has a pair of Black Labs. Greg's Labs are insanely affectionate with everybody. Spencer's German Shepherd is super loyal & protective of him.

:( sorry to hear about that. I'll try to avoid waning philosophic here. However, the older we get the more pets, friends, and family members we have to say goodbye to. I wouldn't say that I've become accustomed to it but my grief rarely produces tears anymore. - Just a deep feeling of loss.

I sort of hope you picked up a new puppy to help fill the void.
 
Chewy (Chewbacca) meets Spence's German Shepherd Cerbie (Cerberus) for the 1st time. They really hit it off well together.

Top is the puppies we had may 3 - 19. Bottom is Dexter (brown), and Stella helped take the place of Axle. Stella is my new "cling-on." Both awesome dogs.

Life with the cats in the house was much simpler. All I had to do was turn the TV on for them and they'd entertain themselves.

Sophie loves to ride in the front seat of the truck. When we take all 3 we take the Jeep.
