Well finally a quiet evening, training is all complete for the week. I am going to unwind tomorrow and start the long drive back to Fargo on Tuesday. Attached is some pix from our drone of yours truly teaching a Church security Team at our new facility. Blair Creek Training Center. It was a very special day and I was humbled to be able to teach these men as they try so diligently to keep their congregation safe.

John looks like a great start!! Congratulations!!

Morning all checking in with coffee in hand.
No wind, rain, or humidity, and slept with the windows open, a great start to a new week!!

I put ford Taurus seats in the 66. Drivers fully adjustable. Electric...
The srt seats are 12 way adjustable electrics. But they’re basically the same seat as the Durango’s . Crazy.

Good morning

Morning!
Cloudy day today. Four days of rain after that.

Good afternoon!

The past three days have been "fun"

Friday, I was leaving school to go to work in the duster and it missed once. That's not usual and I smelled something different. When I pulled over and checked I found that my coil had split open and leaked all over the intake. Brand new edelbrock coil about 6 months old. great. Called dad and he brought the coil off the slant 6 and my some tools. Got to work about an hour late all told but It ran perfect the whole time with the slant coil on it. made it to work, then to the school event after until 11. that was a 21 hour day.
Yesterday, I went to a friends house with a shop and we went and got an MSD Blaster 2 coil for it. wrapped it in heat tape, he had one of those chrome coil dress up things we painted black and heat taped, and put it on.
In neutral, it revved fine and didn't skip a beat. When driving, it kept missing almost every second and ran like crap. Barely got it home and it ripped that POS outta there.
Today, I ordered an ACCEL super stock coil and it'll be here tomorrow. Went around looking for yard sales and I found a sun X-44 timing light.View attachment 1715928198

Late 50's I have a few.

No sleep last night, but the coffee's good this mornin.

Good Morning Everyone. I hope all is well out there. I got the brake lines bled on the daily car so I can drive that now. Better mileage and cheaper fuel. I have been driving the truck 100% since February. Also, swapped my old distributor for an MSD Pro Billet black and wires. Got that swapped and timed and it runs smoother with a dead steady tach output now too. No longer bounces. Also attempted to fix a header/collector leak, we will see about that one. Then the aluminum slot wheels didn't want to go back on. Maybe a bur on one of the holes, I know the shoulder lugs fit very tight, so the Centerlines went back on for now. I am getting a bunch of the little stuff done.

Oh, I am trying out some steel core rubber valve cover gaskets too. Ever since the wheel bearing failures after MITP, I have had a shake in the car at about 60-75 mph with the new/used hubs I installed. Two sets of rims/tires didn't change it. So, I put new bearings and races in the original hubs and installed them yesterday. A test drive will have to wait.

I had a weird one years ago, I threw a weight out of the rotor and it became unbalanced.

Dad and I had talked about that. These are drum brakes and I know they are balanced, but I don't know of a place that balances hub/drum assembly anymore. And they don't remake them, at least that I know of.

Just thinking, is it a shake at 60-75mph or when you floor it and hitting 60-75 mph in those first few seconds ...don't think you'll get red of that shake?? :D

More on one side?

It is nondiscriminate as to how quickly you get there. That is the typical cruise speeds and it shakes. Thinking about it now further, one of the hubs had the drum cut loose from the studs, I wonder if that is the culprit. Maybe a drum replaced? Non balanced assembly?
