I’ve been working on this 72 Duster for nearly 3 years. I finally got to drive it for the first time and wash it for the first time. There are still a lot of bugs to be worked out but sharing the beginning and end result.

Looks great

Do you always wet wash, or do you mostly do waterless?

I have used the waterless and do keep a bottle in the trunk because we live on a dirt road.

That’s Charleigh Shana and I’s three year old. She loves helping me in the shop and absolutely knows which one is the 71 and which is the 72. I love my time with these cars almost as much as my time with our 6 kids. The only thing I paid to have done is the windshield install and the bottom end of the motor. I believe the 904 rebuild has been the most intriguing for me. I have received so much help and pointers and parts from members on this forum I couldn’t have done it without the knowledge of the members here on FABO.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Great job!! (Well, ok, I'm biased due to my 71 Demon Green Go color!)
You're a few weeks ahead of me on the build. I think you're somewhat local to me in Michigan. Where will this fine specimen be seen at locally???

I am in Rockford MI. Once the bugs are worked out it will be driven daily around town.

Dang...over near Grand Rapids. I'm over on the east side of the state. I used to get over there alot when my kids went to Grand Valley State Univ but not so much anymore. Still a gorgeous Duster!!
