What was a cool shopping place was the swap meet around Aloha Stadium on the weekend (Oahu) Thats where we used to get local clothes. They had these cheap *** sandals (slippahs) that we used to get dam things were comfortable and cheap. Wish I could find them here never saw them any where else.

Some of the early cotton vintage ones are worth big cash now. I just hang them in the back of the pop mobile!

Yeah, I remember the flip flops, would last a couple months if I was lucky but cheap so all good!

Indoors or a "wall of water" might be the only way I'll get anything near ripe this summer. I was looking for a large truck tire intertube, going to fill it with water and put the tomato plants on inside or outside edge, warms up during day and keeps them warmer at night. Couldn't really find one for under $90, tire shop, Amazon etc.
We live five miles highway drive from a little rural farm town or 1200.
Every Tuesday until October they have a large Farmers Market until the end of September.
I've tried to convince her that'd be much easier. :D

Sounds like me.
Summer: gym shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes.
Winter: sweats, pull over, tennis shoes.
Fancy clothes try not to.
Suit avoid at all costs.

I have one and haven't worn it in years. My kids all know bury me in a golf shirt and shorts.

LOL I am getting burried at sea off of the coast of the big Island where the new island is forming. You should have seen the VA guy when I told him since I am a Navy and AF vet that I am entitled to a sea burial but dropped out of a C-130. Pretty funny but thats what it is. You know you have to supply the buriel "box" With weights and holes in it for at sea burial. Lo I am a cheap F. Made a hops drier out of a surplus military casket and it is also my to go box. Hey its the ultimate tax break. Wonder if I need a drag chute with it?

We were talking about Hawaii with a good friend yesterday. He'd never been.
We can't go this year because it's a grand kid trip to Disney in October. My buddy and wife go to Palm Springs for the winter.
So next October we'll go, and the following October do a 10-day river cruise somewhere in Europe. Just has to start or end in Budapest.
Fortunately, or not, we've both been through Europe a lot. The wife went to school in Denmark for a year.
We spent some R&R time in Budapest and loved it so much to do and so much wine to drink.

Aloha all, gotta get. It's my Friday today as am taking Wed/Thurs off for the worst procedure I've ever had. Starts with drinking a jug of fluid tomorrow.....

Funny Talking to the wife about HI, she switched to pidgeon, man it was funny moved back to NY from Hawaii and she had a really heavy Hawiian pidgeon accent from being in charge of a private duty nursing agency and you really had to speak pidgeon to understand the clients on the Big Island. So we get back to NY and no one can understand her except me with the pidgeon/NYESE fast accent. Pretty funny. No one not even her family!

Yes been open air like mall. They have one in Honolua.
I need some new cheap Hawaiian shirts.
Hawaiian shirt?

I hope that is in Metric!:poke::rofl:
:rofl: My shirts keep shrinking. I ordered that shirt with my car on it and it was supposed to be a 2XL. It was a small at best. The supplier suggested I measure it against a shirt that fits me and send a photo.
