Without hei..has the push cup connections and the two spring legs on the bottom to fasten it.
All I find is hei type caps. Mine is the one in the picture

Thanks for that. The issue I am having is the cap moves around when I have the two legs that attaches it clamped.
Is there some sort of sweet spot/ register/ notch somewhere I am missing…. Cap shouldn’t move when it’s attached. You can grap the cap and it literally feels not seated. Moves around putting your hand on it.
Getting an intermittent loud backfire, thinking this might be the culprit?

There is a register in the cap beside the window but my distributor isn't here to look at. I've had the rotor button on the cap fail so have a look at that as well

my cap doesn’t have that little register, and never did. Cap is red, thought it was an MSD, but whatever it is, no register.
Is that cap you have a Mopar performance cap?

No, it's msd...you must have a copy cap. if you google the part number they are all this color

want to make sure whatever cap I get has that little tooth on it to secure it.
Thinking now this isn’t my problem with the car, cause the cap was on there before and car ran fine with it like that.
Dang

8437 is a GM cap, my suggestion would be to contact MSD direction.

Stupid, I DO have the female type cap, 8433.
I got the wrong one!
That said, when I blow up and do the 360 degree view of it on Summit’s site, it doesn’t have that little tooth to mate with the cutout in the dist base.
The wrong cap, like I ordered does, but the correct cap doesn’t have that locating tooth
What gives?

As I said earlier, contact MSD, I'm sure they can answer your questions.
