I have seen a couple threads where people have mounted the Hellwig #6908 E-body rear sway bar with relocated springs, but those all have 8.75" rear ends. I am wondering if anyone has ever put this sway bar in with a Ford 9" and if so could you provide any pictures and/or tips and clearance issues

Thank you in advance

It is for a car a friend is building. The car would just be a cruiser. He says he wants a rear sway bar but that there are no options for relocated leaf springs, I found the above Hellwig e body one which would be more than enough for the application but it's not clear if it'll clear the differential of a ford 9" vs the differential of a mopar 8.75.
I think at this point the bar isn't "necessary" but it's just itch to want to balance things out since the front is going to have sway bar.

“Balancing things out” is more than just putting sway bars on both ends. You have to consider the wheel rates at both ends and go from there. If the front wheel rate is low and the rear wheel rate is high then a rear bar could make things worse.

That being said, I run the Hellwig #6908 on my Duster. I use a '68 B-body 8 3/4, but I don't think you'll have issues using it on a 9" Ford. There's pretty substantial clearance between the housing and the bar, I think the shape of the 9" pumpkin will make the clearance a little tighter than on the 8 3/4 but I don't think you'll have interference with it.

I believe you'll find what fits the 8 3/4 will fit the 9". Their external dimensions are really close.

I might be completely wrong…

But the last time I spoke with Frank at Firm Feel I thought I heard him say they can build a custom length sway bar to fit custom applications.
Might be worth a phone call
