Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Holy crap just got back from the Commisary in Carlisle. Man Coffee is way up almost double and a pound and a half flank steak was $23! 300 and not even a full cart!
It’s ugly out there… Did you get any infant formula? Lol

$1.899 a litre here now. Good thing i have to drive to the city twice on sunday. Say, 5 hours driving..

Local gas report: 87 at Sam’s 4.55, 4.75 ‘bout everywhere else. :BangHead:
I was sitting at the stop light on the drive home from work, watched it jump from 4.89 to 5.39 for 87 at the local Shell. Just wait, weekly AG report estimates by July 4th, the national average will fall between 7-9 dollars per for diesel fuel.

I’m really glad now I switched jobs to something so much closer. I was driving 130 mile round trip a day. I’m down 23 miles round trip. 40 if I have to drop off and pick up the kids. Right now, I’m spending more per month on gas though than I was from May of 2017 thru august of 2021, when i took the new job. If I was still driving that distance, I’d honestly be hurting quite a bit. I’d be spending about 1000 bucks on gas right now. Just me

Ya it sucks doesn't it. Who knows how to fix it or if it ever will be fixed. The lower prices we saw years ago we may never see again.

I did some quick math, daughters Uhaul from New Orleans here estimated 12mpg and that's w/o car hauler trailer so probably 9-10 at best. 2,700 miles, going to cost over $1,200 for sure : (

For 87 today at Sam's I paid $3.79 other places $4.06, diesel $5.25
Out of town car shows including Carlisle may be a no-go this year.
Wait and see.

I may fly in, haven’t decided

Dang, I hate it when I don't think things through. I bought a couple cedar planters and some flat metal for brackets. They are a bit tough to bend a radius for the hooks with a small vice and no pipe but I got them pretty close. I wanted it to hang straight so I drilled one set of holes and had to slot the other side to get it level. :BangHead:
I hang it up and stand back to look and damn, something isn't right. The damn fence pipe isn't level.:BangHead:
Oh and of course, I drilled the wrong side. The side you see has knots and the back is clear. It's all screwed up. I might have to go back and see if Menards has another planter. :mob::mob: Ok it doesn't look that bad from the photo.

It's already over $5.00 in the Philadelphia area at some locations.
I think Carlisle will be a ghost town this year. I only plan on stopping by..
Doing the same at Mopars in the park. One day hit and run.

Well it cost me 450 bucks in gas to drive out last time in 2019. Plus 200 for the hotel room one night. Gas was under 2 bucks then. I’m just guessing I’d be looking at 1200-1500 bucks in gas this go around. Yikes
