The vibration damper would be a better sign. If it is perfectly round and the same width all around may be a forged crank. Since the motor was rebuilt no real telling till you actually look at the crank because may have been internally balanced. Although it is costly with a cast crank because of the mallory metal needed to balance it. You didn't show the flex plate which may have offset weight built into.

Was running a external balance torque converter. Now has a external balance flywheel.

A balancer is a poor indicator as it easily could be the wrong one.

I was thinking likely blueprint. I was told it was 408.
If you contact Jonny Mac here or through blue print. Shoot him the tag and block number he should be able to give you any info you need if it was one of there engines. They keep good records on what they put out. Swingn’

Jasper uses tags like that on their rebuilds. Have seen tags like that on their rebuilt automatic transmissions.

The number of bolt holes on the rear crank flange is a dead giveaway for a 4" crank. Give that number to @Johnny Mac

Possibly the prize from the bottom of a serial box?

PM responded to. Send me the serial number (can't read the picture) and i'll gladly tell you if it's ours, and the details.
thanks!

That did in fact start as one of ours! not sure what's been done to it since 2017 when it was built, but it came to life here!
was sold originally to Summit, so I don't have any other history as far as ownership or use, as the purchaser never registered it.

We do still have a dyno sheet on file for it, which I messaged to the OP.

Was probably one of our last LA engines out the door. I'll PM you some more details.

Cool beans! Glad you could give a little info!

That 360 external balance Flywheel should have 3 large balance holes drilled in the back side of it.

I think the guy I got it from ran it at the strip with the tci 727 and an open dif 8.75 that leaked and locked up the right drum and burned up the tranny. Think it has pretty much sat since then. May do head port and rockers eventually. Thanks for the awesome info
