I have a 68 dart which had manual brakes - 4 wheel drum. I installed a power brake booster which has an adjustable rod. The car stops very well now but I have issues with the brake pedal not returning or returning very slowly. Can’t see a return spring anywhere. I reused the original master cylinder. Second issue is the pedal seems high. Any guidance on how to set pedal height ?

All I can tell you is I put power brakes on my 63.
I did have to modify my brake lever from the pedal to the booster by cutting a section out and re-welding it to achieve proper pedal height. After I had thought about making the lever slotted and having it adjustable. As far as pedal not returning try loosening the attaching bolts and see if it's a alignment problem causing binding.

Assuming nothing is binding, the booster does not have an internal return spring, either by design...or they forgot it...
You will either have to replace the booster or rig up your own spring to the pedal.

Where is the original brake pedal return spring? Not sure why adding a booster would create this issue.
