Hello everyone,
I have 1973 Australian Charger A body size, (that's mine in the pic) currently 318 and 904.
I'm wanting to replace with a 440 and 727 with dodge magnum cam so about 375hp.

Parts I have:
69 440 60 over.
Steel crank, source stealth heads, source forged rods and forged flat pistons.
New stock rockers and shafts.
Holley strip dominator and 850 quick fuel DP.
2800 stall and 3.89 gears.
Not sure the combination will work but Gunna give it a go!
Good to be onboard

Welcome. So an Australian Charger is an A body? I knew they were different. Is it about the size of a 67-69 Barracuda Fastback? Post lots of pictures during your work. I am quite interested to see more pictures of this car.

Thanks everyone, yep bout same size as barracuda fastback. Being RHD is a pain for exhaust as the steering box is mounted to the chassis instead of the K member. Also engine is offset to the right.
The car came from factory with inline 245 hemi 6cyl and I bought the car with the 318 in it. I'll post pics but will be a slow build.

Very nice looking Charger. That'll be one nose heavy beast. Good luck with the mods!

Thanks mate,
Yes Oz chargers are nose heavy even with small blocks. Using as much aluminium as I can but still be heavy. 6cy is better weight distribution. Also installing .990 torsion bars I bought years back.

With the right hand exhaust restrictions, putting a 440 in there might mean that YOU will be making the headers.

Yes only 3 options really,
Stock exhaust manifolds regrettably.
Block huggers but I think they will exit straight into trouble.
A while back I bought LHD abody headers four into one 2inch primary into 3.5 inch collectors tack welded together by mad dog headers in the states. Those headers will need some serious modification, probably best to start from scratch.
