Sat I started feeling "a bit run down" but at our ages I'm sure you've seen THAT. Sunday was worse, and then maybe 2PM or so I started to feel BAD. By 4-5PM I felt TERRIBLE. Didn't sleep much last night. Felt feverish, sore throat, my tinitis is all ramped up and I'm on the edge of dizzy, but I think that is my inner ears. My doc gave me 2 meds for that and I took some this morning. Talked to a nurse at the doc's office, and suposed to go in this afternoon and get taste

I have not had "close contact" with much of anybody EXCEPT I had to go in Friday for the ultrasound on my abdomen for the possible liver problem. And I went to urgent car to get a ripped off little toenail trimmed off. So maybe one of THOSE people, or they maybe been in contact with............

Anyhow my eyes hurt, headache, joints and muscles all hurt, don't want to do ****, and I guess the "boat ride" is off sometime this week. Throat is sore, no appetite, and "hope" it's just a cold........................
 
Hope you get to feeling better, had a coworker that had a situation as yours but now can’t eat beef went in got checked called it covid kept getting worse-rocky mountain spotted tick fever. Your situation may differ
 
Hop you feel better and I say at least get the test that might be right or wrong?
Realize, you may have the NEW thing, what is it called? Spotted African Monkey Pox??? or maybe the Avian (bird ) Flu or realize Brazil does a poor job about the Mad Cow Disease. ( we do import their beef ya know?).
 
Does stuff taste metallic? That's Covid in my book. No cure. Drink fluids, wait it out. If you can go anacrobal antibodies (sp?) May wanna try that for the worst cases.
 
Ask your doctor for some Paxlovid pills. I got them for my wife and daughter, it helps you get well much faster but you need to start taking them withing 5 days from when you started feeling sick. These pills were developed just for COVID to keep you out of the hospital.

Vancenise Nasal spray *Steroids Spray* works good for opening up the eustachian tube to the inner ear to help reduce the tinnitus ringing.

These colds and flue can get into our muscles and make us feel like ...t.

A little time and Chicken Noodle soup works miracles. Yes the "Chicken Noodle Soup".
 
Thanks guys. Should know in a day or two. Picked up some Halls sugarless throat losanges they help so far.
 
Prayers, Del. Man, the ol Gal and I (51 yrs, each) both had some funky **** on Mother's Day Weekend...her Sunday, then me Monday, woke up, Bad Taste, aches, itching eyes, chest tight, ect. . Main symptoms only lasted day or so. But...I'm gonna keep the rest of out opinions out of this. Get Well, Brother Del!
 
Results are back, "positive." They want to prescribe something sposed to help. I feel like 'ell. Probably won't be on much. My eyes are sensitive and hurt, along wiht "everything else"

Dammit man. Take care of yourself, Del and stay movin around much as you can and breathe deep.
 
Sleep face down if you can.My wife and I got it and lucky we had a asthma machine and used it.She was down 3 weeks and I was down 6.Some are sick for a few days .prayers
 
My whole family had that crud a couple weeks ago. Same symptoms-my throat hurt so bad I could hardly swallow water. After about a week, it finally got better.
 
I got the covid shots as well as my family.

Our household caught it. It was literally 4 days.
First day.... Sore throat
Second day ... I caught a cold
Third day ... Rapid test to confirm it was covid
Fourth day.... That sucked but now I have to stay home for a couple more days.

Wife's grandfather caught it...... Well he died
