Alternator for my drag car

Just a warning......

If you have the factory "amp" gauge in the dash, and you run a high amp alt.........the pins in the bolk connector, at the fire wall can not handle the amperage.
It will cause lots of grief down the road. eliminate the amp gauge and wiring(go to a volt meter) or make a much, Bigger Connection, through the fire wall, to the amp gauge and back out.
Just some food for thought.

I had a local, old timer, build my alt into a 50 amp 3 wire alt that will still charge at 500 rpm.
Don't have a clue what he did, but it works.
Unfortunate his shop is closed now. He even rebuild my 91 Cummins starter for 30 bucks!!!!!!!
