U running auto or manual ?

Automatic, with pushbutton actuation, of course. I installed a 727 because I thought I'd need it, considering the power I was hoping my engine would produce, and I had to raise the transmission tunnel in order to install it. In retrospect, a well-built 904 probably would have been just fine, and would have been quite a bit lighter. When installing a V8 into a '60-'62 Valiant or Lancer, there's not too much room for exhaust manifolds or headers, and things get really crowded at the rear driver's side of the engine, where the pushbutton shift cables go under the car between the steering box and the exhaust pipe. Also, I couldn't find room to mount the battery under the hood (although some others have; I don't know how!), so I mounted it in the trunk, and then you have the question of how to run the battery cable to the starter. Fun, fun, fun!
