Let's Talk About Alkeehawl

Talk about good Tequila. This is delicious and not the rot gut they use in margaritas. So good you drink it neat. No reason to ruin it with ice or mix.

Some of the "leather label" stuff my BIL brought back from the tequila factory tour in MX was pretty good.

Unfortunately for me .....my son is part owner of 3 bars. Every time I visit him at any of his bars it's free pool and all the drinks are free for me and any friends I bring!!

I need something I can drink straight. I'm a type 2 diabetic and actually have it under control now with no meds. So I don't need the coke or other soft drinks.

I like my bourbon, but as I have gotten older I started experimenting with scotch. There are some very nice single malts out there with great nose, palate and finish qualities (translation fruity smell, taste and after taste, lol). I have been working on a 12 year old single malt Glenlivet. 2 cubes, 2 fingers is good for me, lol.

No, it isn't 144 dollars as suggested here, but I think I did pay just shy of 60 bucks for it.

I like Pendleton. Nice Canadian style whiskey. They also have 1910, which is a rye whiskey. That stuff is delicious! All with ice and a splash of water.

I know this problem.
My family owns a bar here in Ohio. In fact I was the primary liquor license holder for a few years after my grandfather passed away.
Somehow, none of us are are really drinkers. I think its mostly because we've seen it and been around it all of our lives. We kinda just tune it all out. I had bad experience with it as a teenager that turned out to be a good thing. My stepdad was an alcoholic, but grandpa wouldn't allow him in the bar, unless he was playing music. He was never allowed behind the bar. I've never been interested in shooting pool, and bars have just always been associated with work to me.
We have a few folks that come in and order Buffalo Trace on a pretty regular basis. We keep Weller, Blanton's, Eagle Rare and Van Winkle (when we can get it, and never Pappy) as bourbon selections. It helps being only an hour and a half away from bourbon country. We have top shelf tequila as well. We keep Cabo Wabo and Santo Puro. Beer, all the standard stuff. Except Yuengling and Sam Adams, can't give that **** away. The ladies and the "fellas" seem to like the seltzers.

Yeah, but what kinda rot yer guts out artificial sweetners are in THAT?
Now, really. Do you honestly think the government would allow a company to sell something that was not good for you???
OK Sorry. I could not say that with a straight face!:lol::rofl:

I’m not a drinker, I basically quit when Nella was born. That said, my next door neighbors brother is the brewmaster at Evan Williams distillery, so I can have all the bourbon I want if. If I want it. Now, my little brother is sort of a brewmaster himself, of the white lightning variety. When we visit him in Tennessee, I come back with a couple gallons of “the white” as we call it. I usually mix it with “the peach” to bolster that up, and the bride drinks most of that. I’ll sip it here and there, but only around the camp fire, and of course down in Tennessee. We’re leaving on the 8th of June, should be bringing back a stock.

Evan Williams is one of my favorites. The white stuff you can light your campfire with. LMAO!

Stop on by, Mike. At any time, my neighbor has about 100 bottle of different mixes that his brother brings him. Apparently, Evan Williams is one of 6 different distilleries owned by the same company, so he’s always got a good selection. Band practice used to be next door, and we sampled many of them in our time.
