Anybody Ever Seen This Before?
RRR this likely isn't news to you, but for some, a double row chain and gear doesn't have adequate block clearance on Some SBC blocks. Chamfer the are at the 12' o'clock where the chain will rub on the block. This example, dude didn't do it, woulda screwed with ignition timing for awhile, while adding metal mush to the oil. also this other gear set only has a few hours on it, came out of someone's boat, much longer and it'd bee lookin like your findings.
