Wasn't sure where to post this .Last weekend I saw this Truck pulled out of a barn. I stopped in but no one was home. Last night coming home from a cookout someone was outside so I pulled in. The guy said it was his fathers and he parked in the Barn 30 years ago. It needs work but complete. He put a lawn mower gas can direct to carb (V8) and started it and parked outside to drywall inside. I bought it for $3000. Sorry I know it's not a Mopar.

WOW !!!!! That's great!!!! I appreciate you posted the selling price. It's important to all us other bargain hunters. Looks like a great truck with lots of potential.....with a running motor to boot!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::steering:

No need for apologies. Somebody doesn't like that truck, they got problems.

I still have to pay for it and get it home. My daughter took that pic. I don't even know what motor or tranny lol. Short bed step side is my favorite which it is. More info and pics to come.

Nice truck- but that coming from a Studebaker guy!

Trucks are certainly a different world. I always thought 51-54 was not the best years for automotive design? But certainly not true for trucks. Some of the most iconic and sought of all truck years. What year is that GMC? '55?

I had a 56 Ford f-100 (My 1st resto.) that I sold when saving for a house. Really missed it. I always loved the look of the 50's Chevy. I spoke with the son and he says it has a Pontiac 350 with a 4 speed. The 4 speed is a low 1st gear type. It's an open canvas right now and I have limited access to a garage so maybe get it running and see what's what. I'd love to get a salvage corvette and install the drive train and front and rear clip but probably dreaming until I get another Garage.

This is a little out of my wheelhouse, but I helped a friend pull his grandfathers car out of the barn after 32 years. It was during the winter, and the snow actually helped slide it out a little.

Awesome truck!
Who cares that it isn't a Mopar?
What does it need for work to get it road worthy?

It's a short bed step side. I don't know what it needs yet. May be a week or two before I can get it home. The guy is really nice and said take your time getting it. I want it now lol but I'm swamped at the moment. I'm hoping I can drive it soon.
