I just got rid of the blue FEMA tarp 3 weeks ago and have a real roof again.
We waited till I could do a class 4 roof.
We have had Dade County classed shutters since 2008 or so. Spent 140k on mitigation and was worth it. Still have more work inside to finish.
Machinest dropped off the 422 to me. It was done and $8500 to build and was messed up. So had to be gone through after not even being run ever.
Had no power for 14 days. Heavy Wind for us was over 12 hours long.
Rode out Katrina and Ida both wild rides. IDA was very high wind for an extended time.
