My wife HATES my car.

-
She has accused me more than once of running an out of balance rear tire on purpose so I can watch her breasts undulate at slow speeds.

...and I'll add that usually right after the accusation, she moves the seat belt so I can get a better view.

Thanks! The problem is she doesn't like anything old. We both have daily drivers and this is just a sore spot with her. lol. I've learned to live with it. Just wondering if others have this disturbance in their energy field too.

Sounds like my first wife. No appreciation for anything and always fuming about something that does not matter. I thank God she left and I eventually found a great wife. Not that she is into old cars, but she appreciates them and does not mind me working on them as long as I don't burn too much time on them.

Melissa hates my cars . She hates my dirtbikes , my compound bow , my hockey equipment , my RV , beer .............
I told her she was Funproof !

My old Lt. Used to say often…

“If it wasn’t for sex, we’d be hunting them for sport”

My 2nd wife back in the 80's actually loved my cars. Loved going fast. Loved driving them. She was just a really bad wife. Just had a lot of demons in her head. She offed herself a few years ago. RIP Big Deb.:(

My wife said why would you want to drive a piece of sh*t like this when you have a nice truck. She's never been in my 69 barracuda, since.

Sorry to hear... My first wife was similar.. lots of fun but couldnt sit still in life . Got killed by her new husband .

Oh wow. Sorry to hear that. Ya Deb was a party animal and just couldn't settle down. Carried a lot of scares from her childhood.

Hmmm.. I just realized I said she doesn't like anything old but I think she likes me. lol

Anyways the car isn't going anywhere. :mob:

Does she have a single sister?

Yes she does, actually, but you don't want anything to do with her.

To quote my wife, she's a "whack-a-doo". Her concept of reality is nowhere near actual reality.

She also has another sister who is marginally more stable, and a younger brother.

They are all drama queen's as well, except my wife, who is one of the most honest, straightforward, down to earth people I've ever met.

We often joke about how that apple managed to fall so far from the tree while the others didn't even make it off the roots.

The whack-a-doo's daughter, OTOH (who should be about 30 by now) is very smart, down to earth and quite hot. She's a "loss prevention" specialist for a national jewelry chain. I actually see more of my wife in her than her own mother.
Maybe it skips a generation.

.....and she won't have anything to to do with her mother at all.

My wife hates my car too. She is a painfully practical person and just doesn't see the need for it. We are so opposite in so many ways. I always make sure my family is taken care of way better than we ever were, but she still can't get past it. I finally just told her that she doesn't have to like it but if she wants to stay together she has to live with it. My car hobby is what keeps me sane when things get shitty. She may be coming around a bit since it's mostly finished now and she thinks it will start to cost less. Maybe she doesn't realize I am serious about starting another car once my son's truck is done.
Point is, marriage has to be a give and take deal, I give way more than I take so that's going to have to be enough. Or not!

As my marriage was deteriorating, my former wife said she hated my car and the hobby. I only spent time with it when she was at work. During and post divorce the car didnt mean much to me to anymore. I would rather sell it and start over with something new.

One of my wife's oldest friends recently asked her what her secrets were for managing her finances and a good relationship.
She also mentioned she was struggling to find money to put a new roof on her house.

"For starters..." my wife said, "you spend $200 a month to do your hair and another $200 a month to do your nails. Stop that BS for a year and a half, and there's your roof".

We both agreed that being realistic about a potential mate (IE not assuming they will change) and realizing it's "a 2 way street", were big factors in not setting yourself up for relationship failure.

I worked with a young guy that one day was talking about his "hot" girlfriend. The son of a row crop farmer.
I told him my advice was simple. Forget hot. Find the daughter of a rancher that had no sons and the daughter was dad's help. IF she helped dad pull calves, vax, dehorn, worn, run the baler, help fix fence, loved old cars/pickups!!!_, and her nails had NO polish and she took regular bathes....there's your HOT woman!!!!

I told my kids that the only thing to look for was "Were they nice?" If they are not nice, nothing else matters in the long run.

not saying this to any in particular nor am I assuming such to be the case ...... but if a lady feels she's in "competition" with a car for your love, passion, and care, she'll probably resent the car. Especially if she feels she's loosing.
^^^^ This got a disagree... I'd say somebody has heard it before.... LOL
