Good luck I failed in every attempt to limit the plunger travel with the Comp Cams Hyd roller setup in my 340. No matter what I tried it was like putting a governor on the throttle. Their retrofit Hyd rollers a junk, never again.
I replaced them with Morel solid roller lifters, man did it wake it up, I had to turn the rev limiter down.
