First time bracket racing

When are you leaving? Stage shallow and first hint that the bottom bulb is coming on, leave. Do it in qualifying. You might go red. If you do and it’s real close, but consistent. You can wait for the bulb to be bright or drop the front tire pressure a lb or 2. If your reaction times are still a bit slow. Stage as before, but go an extra “bump” in. Also try and be very consistent on how far you roll in as you stage. Once you see some consistency, you can move that spot around to suit your needs. I don’t bracket race, I’m heads up, pro tree so deep is not for me. I go shallow and first hint I’m off. Years ago I could change which bulb I focused on if I went red in qualifying, but with the LEDS and new starting systems. The ambers are truly coming on at the same time now. Not so much in the past.
