Getting alot done this kit is big now I know why they charge 60 bucks for it. BTW I got mine one sale. lol

Isn't it molded in clear so it can be lit from the inside?

Yes but I can't afford the lighting kit it's 40 bucks on its own lol even I had the money I would have to pull it mostly apart now lol I'm not going to do that
 
Looks like it's too late, but had you considered fiber optics from someplace like Hobby Lobby?

Sometimes even places like Spencers have those novelty lights cheap.
