Hi Guys,

is there a Tunnel Ram intake for the stock LA Port / Pattern that is worth considering when looking for more Power? Goals are in the 550 HP range.

What was available in this port configuration?

thanks Michael

Weiand part number 1995.

For the street or the track?
Colorado Hill’s intake can be used ether way. The intake is a excellent choice for a street hot rod that can make the HP goal you have. IMO, he has an excellent deal going on there.

If I had the spare cash...

thanks guys for the info so far.....if going this route i would upgrade my sniper EFI to 2x4, so no interest in getting carbs.....just checking what is / was available now and then. A little bit of bench racing in my head....as always.

So the EDE TR5 with the bigger top would be an option.....then there´s the Weiand 1995 that seems to be available new.....what about another brands (holley, offenhauser etc.)?

Does a standard distributor fit with a tunnel ram intake?

Good question! You’ll have to read the foot notes on what fits or not OR wait for the been there done that.

Offenhauser can make the intake and a stupidly hefty price is what will be incurred. There current pricing is insane at least according summit racing’s web site.

I haven’t noticed a standard LA port Holley Tunnel Ram ever. But maybe they do exist? IDK. They have a Tunnel Ram for the W2. Bad *** unit.

i used the edelbrock tunnel ram with stock dizzy on my valiant, plenty of clearance
it looks pretty tight bit i could fit my fat fingers between it and the dizzy cap, lol.
neil.

Agree with Gasser. I have personal experience with the TR5 and stock type distributor. It is a little tight on an early A, but, a miss is a miss.

I've ran the tr5 with the short top on a street strip car. Mild 340 with 3.55 gears. T ram was worth 2 tenths over a rpm and holley 750dp. No down side except mpgs.

This intake right here ^^^^ IMO, is the dead best one for street and strip. That big blowed up plenum really pours it on on the bottom end and it just doesn't quit on the top, either.

That intake and dual 450 Holleys were on the Cuda in my avatar.
