Adapter needed I am sure . Depending on the base size it might bolt directly to a 4 barrel intake. The 2 barrel is more about cfm and less about the base size. (as a replacement for a stock 2 barrel. No you wouldn't want to use a 1000 cfm set up on a 180 horse 273.
