OK, not really an emergency. I was at my friend Mark's house helping him work on restoring his 56 Studebaker Powerhawk. I scaped my arm on a sharp corner of body shell. It wasn't much of a wound, but id bled a lot. So Mark and I resorted to emergency combat first aid; paper towels and masking tape. I think Mark 'Might Have" overdone it, but I loved it. How many of YOU have done the same?

Did almost the same thing a long time ago. Cutting off a 1/4 panel and rear section from a car, I was holding one side, another guy was holding the other, third guy operating the torch. As he finishes cutting through, second guy decides to let his end go, I end up with a 5 inch slash across the forearm, just ahead of the elbow. We got little to no first aid supplies, I run some cold water over it for a few minutes, get the bleeding under control, then wrap some paper towel around it, along with some masking tape. Good to go! Finished work, and went to the bar, as usual. No visible scar some 35 years later.

Yep napkins, paper towel and tape. Always seems to be for a skinned knuckle and makeshift bandaid only lasts so long lol

I just ust'a hang it out the window on the way back to the shop.....................

I've used all kinda stuff. A used sock, nasty shop rag, skid marked underwear, even a cute gal's panty hose at a dealership I worked at. I cut my arm really bad and they had nothing. She came outta them hose like she was a pro. LOL

Yup. Paper towels and electrical tape all the time in the shop. Just had an episode last week.

Laid my finger open yesterday... Paper towel & masking tape till I got home hours later where I had a bandaid & other supplies ..

Drill chips are dangerous.... Razor sharp.... I'd thrown them in the garage can but a couple were over a foot long & hanging out the top of the can... I walked by the can without really thinking about it & felt a little tug as the chip touched my skin, next thing I noticed was wetness from blood pouring out of my finger.... Lucky it wasn't worse, as it was it could have taken a couple stitches... Butterfly bandages are your friend...

The last time I saw a girl come out of Panty Hose that fast was...... Well, that is a story for another time.

Cutting a small piece of sheet metal with jigsaw. Blade grabbed and drove a pointy chunk into my finger. It poured way more than i expected. But i has band-aids in shop.been doing this too long to not have a first aid kit or three.

Hah! More times than I can count. And I mean seriously, it does not really even count as a repair unless there is duct tape involved! Hah! My compliments to your neighbor for some nice repair work. Of course he did tell all of us you would do anything to get out of helping him on his Powerhawk!
