The engine bay in our 67 Barracuda. The 273 Commando had been blown up and replaced with a 68 junkyard 318 long before we bought the car. It has taken some time to figure out and correct the stuff done by the junkyard boys, not to mention the time to clean it up and to remove a couple of acres of red, New Mexico dirt. Now a fresh 318 long block, paint and correct parts. Still a 2 bbl.

Keep the pictures coming... The cowl & fender tops also look different from the first photo to the second photo... And a great color too....

Still a work in progress. Right now, no interior or top. I am currently eliminating some mechanical gremlins, then get the windshield and it’s associated chrome installed, after that the convertible top.

We wanted an “off the shelf” color in the event it needed any matching in the future. It’s actually the Lincoln color, Midnight Blue.

Holeeeeeee CRAP...That is a night and day difference. Great work!

And that before photo is after 3 grease cutter and pressure washings. My driveway looked red from the New Mexico dirt (where the car originally came from).

I will post more photos as it gets completed.

Beautiful work. Nice looking engine bay. Looks better than factory.

Clean AND tidy! On the drive side inner fender, the wiring, did you tape together? I'm wanting to tidy our engine bay up, but dont like that corrugated plastic junk.

The battery cables are from member Moparmat2000. He puts the heat shield on them and they fit and look great. The new wiring in the car is from M&H. It is wrapped when you get it.

I did not have any original style tie-down straps to hold the wiring to the sides of the inner fender, but the holes were still there, so I looped a long electrical zip-tie though each pair of holes to tie the wire up. It’s tightened in the wheel well, so you don’t see it. I’ll be chasing gremlins in about an hour, I’ll post a photo.

Thanks Bob, all my wiring is in good shape. Just "messy". Not surprised at the quality of @moparmat2000 wiring. His attn to detail is incredible.
Thanks.

My black, zip-tie wire straps are not easily spotted due to the dark blue paint. Two of the photos are under the hood, two are in the wheel well. That will give you a better idea of how I tied the wires down.

It's nice to see something I made in my shop going to good use. Thank you for the kudos. It's a shame everything came to a grinding halt about 18 months ago
