Finally got around to checking the aim on the new koito headlights with tungsram bulbs that i got from @slantsixdan

Heres the side by side comparison between the koito and the cheap wagners i had.

The koito housings are very well made and are high quality.

was a little tricky to get them aimed, mostly because my driveway isnt the flattest. It slopes down slightly once you get about 15 ft out, i put a piece of fine line tape on the bumper center of the grille and then pulled up as straight as i could and put a center line on the garage door to match the center of the car. I backed it up about 13 ft where it was almost level. then i measured out on each side the distance from the center of the grille to the center of the headlights and measured from the ground to center of the headlights. Using my measurements i put two cross hairs on the garage door. the left to right adjustment was pretty close but the pass side needed to come up a little.

This is at 15ft. When i backed up to 25ft the beam was about a inch higher than my line but the driveway slopes down slightly so i figured if it was level it would be about a inch below the line.

Took it for a quick spin and what a difference! The koito housings with the tungsram bulbs from @slantsixdan paired with the relay harness from @crackedback really put some light on the road, so much more enjoyable to drive at night.

Yesterday, I made the 5 hour round trip drive to the 2nd Annual Keno Car Show, in Keno, OR. Car ran like a top the whole way there and back. Took first prize for my category (Mopar up to '70), course there were only two of us in that category. Had a great time, talked to a lot of nice folks.. Here's a couple pics.

Got 'em bolted in and shimmed up. Now I have wait on my son to make some time in his schedule to come over and help me get it off the rotisserie. Meanwhile I'll brush up on any literature I might have on this operation. It's an AutoTwirler rotisserie, but it's a pretty old one. Bought it in 2008.

Well....this brought me home from the track. I didn't see this coming. Never found the bolt or the bushing and not sure how it failed. Looks like a new pair of rear shocks need to hurry and get here this week.

We drove the old girl to Gray to the Bent Axle grill for a local Mopar meet. it was a good time, but as usual, I forgot my dang camera and my phone takes sucky pictures. I will make an extra effort to remember next time.

Dropped the fuel tank, fixed a bit of wiring, cleaned the carb because of said fuel tank, ordered a new fuel tank and sending unit lol. The 10 years of sitting with ethanol fuel pretty much rotted everything away including the float!

Was at a local car cruise and went into a local Mopar shop called "Muscle car Pit stop" met the owner Vince. Was walking out of the shop and I looked down on a shelf there was the 68 style flip top gas cap I've been looking for. I bought it and put it on the car. It was the last piece I needed to complete the car. What a difference.

Put on the Canton oil filter adapter. The stock nut is ridiculous. I swore I was going to strip it. I went and bought a cheap socket and cut the end off to get it off since the nut is so shallow. ‍♂️ but I got it! Hopefully no more oil leaks!
